This was the best 23 mins of my life. Thanks for the video man this was awesome. I can tell you busted your ass.
Was going to say the same thing. Great job on the car!
Honestly one of the best videos I’ve ever watched lol. Dudes a legend
bubu
ok
2m views on 9 days?! Wow bro awesome for you!! I need to find me an old type r now 🤣. Excellent work brother 👍
@iJacker Blasphemy. .
Lol u would flip it so fast for profit
@iJacker don't ever turbo a type r, it totally mutes the raw feel and sound these cars have, it destroys what it's meant to be. But to each there own
Heck yeah. Because of the age of the car this video could have easily been 10 years old. G2s how many people are still in love with this car 23 years on. But I think the car needs more modern seats and turbo/ecu - there’s no reason you can’t just stick the stock parts in a closet and revert if you wanted to sell/show it.
Pulling that badge out towards the end was epic. As if a lost treasure finally found a home. Great video!! ✌🏻😎
Not even lost. Just stored away for the right moment. I know exactly how that goes.
nice
it was like a dream finally became a reality
I’ve never watched a video where it’s one guy doing all the work, especially to that level of perfection. Awesome job and I hope you made a ton of money when you sold it!
Tbh I thought he might keep it for himself.
@Den Pozdeev how can it be fake?
@Den Pozdeev What?
@Den Pozdeev 🤣🤣🤣dope
@Den Pozdeev what
This was amazing. I could only wish to have a fraction of the time, talent, and knowledge that this guy has to not only accomplish an amazing project like this, but make a great you-tube video about it as well. Nice job
You'll be amazed what you can do the more you do something, everything comes from experience. You're absolutely right about something the "time". I have a evo 8 with a blown fp black turbo sitting in my garage for almost a year waiting on parts to come in. Now that I have everything to complete the job, I need to finish my garage to setup a 9 piece cabinet set so I can work on the evo comfortably, but have very little time.
This is insane, mad props and thank you for keeping another ek9 alive and on the road. We need to cherish these
Not a Honda guy at all but I can truly appreciate all the work and effort this was, absolutely gorgeous
absolutely insane work and dedication. thank you for putting this out for the world to see. Keep on wrenchin, you do some very good work
This is my first time watching a full car restoration and i gotta say it was pretty awesome. I could barely do an oil change and tire rotation but this was art! Subscribed!
This has to be one of my favourite builds, the attention to detail was insane. Great Work!
So a car build which usually takes 20 episodes over a year has been done on 1 episode in 23 mins!!! That's why they say "You'll Never Beat The Irish"!!!! Amazing stuff, quality of videos is better than quantity!! Amazing work.
Lol
im so used to youtubers squeezing every last minute of content from car restores lol filming one second of caf work and then talking for 30 minutes "today were putting one headlight on the restore civic tune in for tomorrows video where we put a sticker on!!!"
Probably did it in the 23 minutes mate. These guys are awesome 👏
Well depending on how much of the build you want to see. Some people like getting lots and lots of content
Thats mostly to maximize profit from the footage. Putting it into an episode series gets more ad revinue.
Cara 😍 que carro lindo 😍 slc, ficou animal! Me leva para fazer esses projetos junto com você! Kkk bacana demais, salve do Brasil 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
You got to appreciate the engineering from Honda for this beauty, not only is it a fun & sporty little car, but the way everything is put together seems so intuitive. You almost sold yourself short because I know the amount of time and work that went into this surely doesn't show in 23 minutes, but you've done an incredible job. Thanks for sharing
Love that the whole thing was done in 1 episode!!! This is how these restoration projects need to be recorded.
Absolutely mint 👌 I could watch an entire slow build series of you working on a car like this. There's so much detail you don't cover that would be great to see and educational too.
It’s my first time watching any sort of video like this that goes this deep into what it really takes to pull this off. Congratulations, sir. Your dedication and personal commitment alone are admirable, and such qualities of your character are openly demonstrated in this post.
Шикарная работа дружище!!Огромное удовольствие было наблюдать за процессом реанимации этого авто!У тебя золотые руки
Proud of you man. So many beautiful Hondas, trashed and forgotten. Glad you brought this one back to life.
Absolutely incredible! Thank you for saving a brilliant piece of car history!
You removing that Logo from its shelf storage, cobwebs and all then pristinely placing unto the front of the car is like an adventurer finding a rare artifact from an ancient ruin then carefully placing it, thus making the restoration complete! Awesome video and excellent work you have done!
I was expecting light and sparkles to shoot out once you mounted it, lol.
It’s like a gearheads version of Indiana Jones.
Wow ! This guy is a genius. Best video I've seen. Such a hard working , dedicated professional and all by himself. I loved the part where he showed the kids sweeping up compared to all the technical knowledge this guy dispays. Amazing !
Absolutely incredible!! Definitely some hard work and it pays of well! I was also wondering, what are the name of those rims? I'd love to have something similar looking put on my 22 civic sport.
Absolutely incredible. Love this restoration and video. I would kill to have a car like that
Love these single video full restorations. Thanks for the great content!
This is the most satisfying restoration video I've seen , totally back to original , all done by your own hands. You are an Inspiration 👌
Thank you for the nice comment!
What a beautiful car! The effort has to be applauded. Well done man. I am already a fan!!!!
This must’ve taken weeks, if not, months and months of work. All that compiled into this 20min video is impressive! Not a Civic fan, but I appreciate the hard work that went into it.
Love to see these brought back to life. Looks amazing!
I actually can’t put into words how insane this rebuild was to watch. The absolute eye for detail and effort this must of taken is really impressive mate. I really found this video inspiring. Great work buddy.
*Must’ve
Awesome skill set this guy has. I hope one day to have my own garage and restore BMW's like this guy some day as my side hobbie. Great job Sir excellent work 👍👍
this is awesome! really nice looking! love to see another type r rescued! brings joy to a mans heart! cheers and great job!
It all looks so easy and it was such a wonderful work you did. Excellent vid! A legend reborn.
Mad props for doing the rebuild right, it's so clean, and you did an awsome job on the little details, and yes I did like the one episode build, got my fix.
This really puts into perspective how challenging, yet fulfilling, rebuilding a dying car is. Great job!!
Yep, did the same with a 1996 VW Golf 3 Cabrio with a "rare" engine for the cabrio, the 1Z TDI. Best engine i ever had in a car and probably will have.
I love the work you put into this bro ! Your whip came out 🔥🔥🔥 af ! Im restoring a 98 civic coupe ex , just swapped the motor , changed the clutch & flywheel. The bodyworks coming last for me , im a mechanic not a body guy 😕 im pretty good at vinyl wrap so ill just buy new body parts to save me from pulling out dents & sanding 😆
As a Honda owner, well done. Brilliant job. Magnificent. Really, really well done.
Amazing video mate, that could've been a 20 part series easily. Well done the car looks great man
Love it, only a car enthusiast can understand the effort you put in
I'm definitely not a import guy but the amount of skill, time and love that went into bringing this car back to showroom quality is excellent! Very nice!
@rfn110n Except you, of course, who took the time to make an unpunctuated response.
Agreed. Now, imagine all that time, effort, and love going into something worthwhile.
Honda Civic makes your import list, what would make domestic - chevy volt/Ford Focus? From United Kingdom.
@rfn110n tf is your problem 😂
‘’I’m definitely not *an import guy’’ yeah nobody watching this video friggin cares
This was fantastic to watch. Very well edited and very well done!
Perfeito 👏👏👏
Couldn't stop watching It's amazing to realize the time and passion I wish one day I'll do this as well
The amount of effort put into this car is incredible I always wondered how they became abandoned
This was pure raw material and no mainstream crap. A joy to watch. Please don't change it.
Hey thanks for the nice comments .Thank you👍
What a beautiful job you did on the car. Excellent work!
Mannn!! Great work.. I have never seen one guy doing all by himself. Keep up the good work (y)
I have always wanted a type r honda for many years, thank you for doing the incredible work.
Thanks for posting. Great video, effort and results. For sure you will treasure it more than the previous owner(s).
Frankly, I’m speechless. This is one of the most incredible car restoration videos I’ve ever seen.
Thank you for watching and the comments👍
@Angel Valdovinos that fact that you’d post “still slow” on a video of this caliber just shows how pathetic your mentality is. This is a fantastic transformation of a Type R that would otherwise be scrapped. This man put in countless hours and you take 5 seconds to bash him. Shame on you.
Still slow
This one video was better quality and more relatable than 100% of all mainstream gearhead channels.
Really enjoyed watching you work on this one. Though I don't know much about cars, it was still very enjoyable! Thanks!
Amazing transformation, hats off to your hard work and talent.
That was one of the best restoration i've seen. Amazing
this is amazing, love this video!! this video means so much to us car people, keep up the swag!!
the amount of skill in one video is too damn much man, seriously this is the first video i have watched on your channel and hit sub and like right away. cheers mate, keep the good stuff coming.
He’s not going to do a full restoration in 4 months so obviously takes longer and then posts full video. He could do 3 - 20 minutes per week for months but obviously prefers people to see it all in one video
@Michael Jenno he still posts, just not very frequently:)
@Michael Jenno well that's unfortunate 🤣
Keep up the good stuff? Not posted a video in 4 months 😂
Great video, I love this car and you did a great job
Unbelievable I couldn't stop watching a craftsman at work! The transformation is remarkable!
Wow the interior is unbelievable one of the the best I have seen. Great job👍
That was insane thank you for the video bro! You are so skilled it's unbelievable. Thank you for saving that Civic Type R
I'm speechless, for one at how whoever owned this legend could treat it the way it was treated, but mainly because of the simply incredible job you did at restoring it pretty much from 0-100! Incredible, I wouldn't hesitate a second to own this!
@Gergo Antal I detected a slight Irish accent in the author's voice and you're right about the Honda Civic Type R being exported from Japan to only Ireland and the UK due to the steering wheel being on the right hand side. In the opinion of many the 1990's was the best decade for Honda. Honda enthusiasts here in the United States were extremely happy when Honda decided to start selling the type R in the United States back in 2017. Personally my favorite generation of the Honda Civic is the ninth generation of the Civic as it was able to appeal to a broad audience. You had the regular Honda Civic for people who wanted the two things that Honda Civic has delivered in spades: great fuel economy and superb reliability. You also had the Civic SI for people who wanted a little bit more performance from a Honda Civic and the GX, HF and Hybrid versions of the Civic for people who wanted to help the environment. To paraphrase fashion designer Coco Chanel; "You can never go wrong with a Honda Civic." Since 2023 is the fiftieth anniversary of the Honda Civic making its debut in the United States; I can't help but wonder if Honda will release a limited production fiftieth anniversary edition of the Honda Civic for the occasion.
Well said, Thank you👍
@Gergo Antal surprisingly enough, in ireland at least - parts for ek civics are easy enough to find. well, they used to be.
@Gergo Antal thansk for the answer
@Portable Zaps I'm from mainland Europe, and I'm fairly certain the author is from either Ireland or the UK Genuine EK9s were imported to the UK and Ireland due to their RHD only status. Fixing up any car from that state is very time and probably money consuming, you need tools, time and knowledge to do this kinda thing, at least I think. This car specifically has specialty parts and a unique engine, so parts aren't that easy to source I imagine.
We can all agree that he never disappoints us with his content.
Great video and amazing work! Thank you for not spreading the video into 20 videos. This was perfect! I subscribed to your channel for sure!
Takes a huge heart to take on a project like this , big respect .
Amazing work. Truly beautiful and pure dedication. A question though, what do you do afterwards? You keep them for yourself or you sell them?
It’s sad that someone would let a car like this fall into that kind of condition. Glad to see it’s brought back to its glory
Yes back to the way it should be, thanks 👍
سلام من بیتا عسلی هستم
15 years ago these were dirt cheap in Ireland...
Absolutely unbeliaveble wow. Just love the Type R and man the work you put in...
Absolutely beautiful! Makes miss my old 99 MR EM1. It's no Type-R by any means but I'll miss her forever. Amazing work with this man!
This came out to be a very nice car good job man you put alot of hard work into this car and in the end it was completly worth it and now you have your own rare honda civic type R thanks for the amazaing content and car stuff
Gorgeous car. Great job on the restoration👍
So satisfying to see the previous owners' sins being undone bit by bit. Also, you didn't cheap out on any of the trim bits, some of them cost a fortune by now. Hats off to you!
Hey means a lot. thanks
@ErectileSceptile what good would it be to restore a car with a stolen Vin
Honestly the car looks like it was likely stolen and gutted
We need more men like you on the planet, expecially in my country. Fantastic Work
Sleek, yeah man that was awesome to watch . A worthy restoration ! 👌
Brilliant job. Its sad to see these amazing cars lying up in fields and barns neglected.
Amazing restore. I loved this thank you!
Damn... he seems to know pretty well what he's doing! I'm always impressed by people who do ANYTHING on their own. And a bit jealous. Great job, great great job!
@David Sparks dawg... first of all stop capslocking.. second... what a wild story i dont know if u hate or like your wife. rip
dont forget he got help!! i can count 2 little dude which is clearly vital part of the crew.
@David Sparks I have a garage with all the equipment, I couldn't do this, maybe one day😁
HELPS TO HAVE A GARAGE...DANG...NOBODY DOES THIS KIND OF QUALITY WORK IM THEIR DRIVEWAY...POSSIBLE...BUT NAH...
randomly came across this and had my eyes glued the whole time ! amazing work man youre a beast
Thank you so much for saving that type r. I love these cars glad to see they're surviving
I love these type of guys that are restoring these legendary cars
WOW, just WOW! Awesome job mate! BTW, I might have missed it, but how long did the restoration take?
Wow! That is one unreal transformation. 99.99% of specialists wouldn't have gone near that challenge with a barge pole but you took it on without a bother. Is this a hobby or is it a full time gig? You're gifted!
Yes but one I enjoyed!, thanks for watching!
